Sea Buckthorn Benefits for your Skin

Sea Buckthorn Benefits for your Skin

Sea buckthorn oil  is one of my favorite oils.  It has a bright orange/red color. It has been used for thousands of years as a natural remedy for various ailments.

It is extracted from the berries, leaves, and seeds of the sea buckthorn plant (Hippophae rhamnoides), which is a small shrub that grows at high altitudes in the northwest Himalayan region.

Sometimes referred to as the holy fruit of the Himalayas, it’s a popular remedy in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicines. It’s said to provide health benefits ranging from more radiant hair and skin to a lower risk of cancer and heart disease.

Sea buckthorn is  rich in unsaturated fat, antioxidants, phytosterols, carotenoids, and vitamins E and K — all of which function together to protect your skin’s integrity and promote its renewal.

Sea buckthorn oil is also rich in palmitoleic acid, which is a type of fat naturally found in human skin that can be used to treat burns and promote wound healing.

It’s also a good source of linoleic acid (LA), that’s the most abundant fatty acid in human skin. Research suggests that LA may reduce acne and psoriasis, as well as protect against dry or scaly skin.

Sea buckthorn oil also contains other omega-6 fats, such as gamma linolenic acid, which may help reduce eczema and improve acne.

Sea buckthorn also has promising protection for your skin against the damaging effects of UV rays from the sun.

I use Sea Buckthorn in my Renew Serum to aid your skin in aging well and reducing wrinkles. It also works so well to combat dry, irritated, flaky or itchy skin. It has also been shown to lower psoriasis symptoms after 4 weeks of use.

Sea Buckthorn is also great for hair health.  It has shown to repair damaged hair and to restore its elasticity.

It is also great to heal any damaged skin on your body, to restore the health of your nails and nail beds, and to give your skin the most beautiful glow.

This oil comes in many different forms and price ranges.  Not all Sea Buckthorn is created equal, but rest assured, after spending years of research, I was able to find the highest quality of Sea Buckthorn oil out there. You will notice a difference in the bright orange color of the Renew formula. Here at Healing Happy, we only offer you the best.
