The Full Routine: How to Use LED Light Therapy with Natural Skincare
One of the biggest secrets to getting beautiful results from LED light therapy is not just the light itself, it’s how you prepare your skin before using it.
Light works best when the skin is healthy, nourished, and hydrated. When you combine LED light therapy with the right skincare routine, the results can be dramatically better.
Here’s the simple routine I teach.
Step 1: Start with Oil Cleansing
Healthy skin begins with a healthy skin barrier. Instead of stripping the skin with harsh cleansers, I always recommend starting with an oil cleanse.
Oil cleansing helps dissolve makeup, dirt, and excess oils while protecting the natural microbiome of the skin. It leaves the skin balanced, hydrated, and ready to absorb nutrients.
When the skin barrier is strong, everything you do afterward works better.
Step 2: Apply Nourishing Skincare
After using the Remove Cleanser or the Brighten Up Cleanser, apply the Refresh Toner, then a nourishing oil or moisturizer to the skin like the Renew or Glow Up Moisturizer. Natural oils help restore the protective lipid layer of the skin and provide nutrients that support skin repair.
Hydrated skin also allows light to interact with the cells more effectively.
Think of it this way: healthy, hydrated skin responds better to the light.
Step 3: Use Your LED Light Mask
Now it’s time for the light.
LED light therapy works by stimulating the mitochondria inside your cells. This helps your cells produce more energy, which can support collagen production, reduce inflammation, and improve the overall health of your skin.
Using your Luxe or Sola mask for about 20 minutes allows the light to fully activate these cellular processes.
Different colors of light can support different skin concerns like acne, aging, redness, and overall skin rejuvenation.
Step 4: Support Lymphatic Movement
After using light therapy, gentle lymphatic movement can help the skin look even brighter and more refreshed.
This is where techniques like dry brushing or gua sha come in. These simple movements help move stagnant lymph fluid, reduce puffiness, and support healthy circulation in the skin.
It’s one of the reasons your skin often looks lifted and glowing after doing the full routine.
The Simple Formula
When these steps work together, the skin begins to heal and strengthen naturally.
Cleanse → Nourish → Light → Move
Oil-based skincare supports the skin barrier.
LED light energizes the cells.
Lymphatic movement helps the skin detox and glow.
When you combine all three, you’re not just treating the surface of the skin, you’re supporting the health of the skin at a deeper level.
